Safety first
The Management of Metal-Air Mechanical Systems Ltd. is committed to providing a healthy and safe work environment for its workers and preventing occupational illness and injury. We are committed to continuing improvement toward an incident-free workplace through effective supervision, education, and training. We expect all supervisors and workers to be dedicated to the continuing objectives of workplace safety and eliminating any foreseeable hazards that may result in injury / illness or property damage and loss of production.
Our philosophy is that the well-being of our company and customers is dependent on the health and safety of our workforce. No job is to be regarded so urgent that time cannot be taken to do it in a safe manner.
We recognize while Metal-Air and supervisors are directly responsible for health and safety in the workplace, that culture is created and shared between all workplace parties. All workers are expected to help create a positive safety culture and minimize incidents within our facility and our worksites. Safe work practices and procedures are clearly defined in our Safety Program for all workers to follow. Incidents can be prevented through good management in combination with active involvement. Metal-Air supports and encourages workers to play an active role in identifying hazards and to offer suggestions or ideas to improve our Program.
It is in the best interest of all parties to consider health and safety in every activity. I trust that all will join me in a personal commitment to make safety a way of life.

Co-op Education Program
Education through experience
Metal-Air regularly accepts co-op students from various high schools and colleges in the area. Students gain valuable workplace experience and get a sense of a career in the trades. This on-the-job experience is one of the most effective ways for students to learn, apply the skills they have acquired, and build confidence. We allow students to experience the practical aspects of the job, the demands of employment, and the expectations of employers in a changing work world. We develop the employability skills and work ethic valued by the labour force and provide students with the opportunity to access emerging technologies.

Bursaries, Donations, Sponsorships
Investing in the future
Metal-Air’s bursary program is composed of both worker and employer contributions. Funds are donated through bursaries to graduating students throughout the community. The bursaries help support those who are pursuing a career in the trades. Metal-Air believes in aiding students to further their passions, whether it is a career in the trades or post-secondary education.
